Nothing else you bolt to a G8X changes the front end this much for the money. The factory grilles are painted plastic. These are real dry carbon, cured in an autoclave, with a weave that runs true across both sides — because we cut them as a pair from the same batch instead of pulling two random parts off a shelf.
The V2 revision fixed the two things owners complained about on the original CSL-style grilles: the mounting tabs are thicker so they don't flex when you clip them in, and the vertical fin spacing is corrected to sit flush against the bumper opening instead of standing slightly proud. It's a twenty-minute install with the bumper still on the car. Most people do it in a driveway.
