Dry carbon vs wet carbon
Two parts can look identical in a photo and behave nothing alike on the car. Here is exactly what separates pre-preg dry carbon from hand-laid wet carbon.

Dry carbon (what we build)

Wet carbon (the cheap stuff)
- Cloth hand-soaked in resin, so every panel carries a different amount of weight.
- Vacuum bagged at best — trapped voids and soft spots are common.
- Thicker, heavier and more flexible, which shows up as panel flutter at speed.
- Weave wanders and distorts around curves and edges.
Why it matters once it is on the car
Weight is the headline, but stiffness is the part you feel. A consolidated dry carbon lip holds its shape at highway speed instead of chattering against the bumper, and a dry carbon spoiler keeps its blade profile under load rather than deflecting.
Finish is the part you see two years later. Because pre-preg carries no excess resin, there is far less material to shrink back around the weave, so the surface stays flat instead of developing the rippled print-through look that gives cheap carbon away.
Fitment follows from the same discipline. Our tooling is moulded from OEM panels and every batch is test-fitted on a real chassis before it ships, so mounting points line up without heat-gunning a part into submission.
One honest caveat
Dry carbon is not indestructible. It is stiffer and lighter, which means a hard kerb strike cracks rather than flexes. Treat a front lip like a front lip.
